Trained in Photography & Fine Arts at RMIT & Deakin, Dimitri was lucky enough to be accepted into the directing stream of the VCA school of film and television. After graduating he gained invaluable experience through Assistant Directing, working on productions such as The Great Gatsby, Underbelly, Bump, Farscape, Dark City and Babe among many others.
Dimitri's wrestling documentary, "Big Men; Bigger Dreams" screened on SBS and garnered both Dendy and AACTA nominations, as well as "Show of the week" in The Age Green Guide.
He's a three times Tropfest finalist, and his short films have screened at, and won awards at many Australian and International film festivals, as well as being awarded the coveted Vimeo "Staff Pick".
Dimitri is currently developing feature projects as well as two feature length documentaries while always seeking future collaborations.
